highlights from our weekend trip to vegas to watch @StreetLeague

We've been following Street League for a while now and have loved watching it on TV but to go to the final stop in Vegas to see it live was nothing short of amazing. Geralyn surprised me with tickets to take the three older boys down to watch it (I do have the best wife ever)! Here are a few of the highlights from our trip.

- awesome boy time (just took my 3 oldest boys)
- the 6 hr drive provided some good time to talk with my sons... math, riddles, life, dreams, snack stops, etc.
- stopping by the skate park in St. George on the way down and being there for 4 minutes before someone got hurt : )
- late night swim at hotel
- breakfast at IHOP
- seeing the skateboard car in person (I'll have to upload video)
- seeing the world's largest skateboard
- getting some freebies from DC
- buying some new hats
- running into someone that recognized my PITCREW shirt (www.pitcrewskateboards.com)
- watching the most talented skaters live... totally inspiring to see how good and consistent these guys are!
- signing the DC bull (no idea what they're going to do with it)
- being able to walk on the course after it was over for a few minutes - I want something like that in my backyard!
- and my favorite part of all... being back home for family dinners with Geralyn and the whole gang!

Over 150 Served.

It's been 4 years since I made the inevitable leap to start my own business. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, but I am glad I did it. One of my favorite parts of providing graphic design and website services to clients is that I get to work with a very wide variety of businesses (over 150 clients and continuing to grow). Some examples of industries I've served are: label printing, movie production, movie distribution, cheese manufacturer, non-profit, legal, scrapbooking, real estate, mortgage, energy drink, mold detection, data center, fleet safety, leadership training, granite fabrication, consulting, and the list goes on...

I've worked with a lot of startups as well and I love learning about all the different business models. If you're wanting to start your own business, but not sure the idea will work or are just plain scared... there's only one way to know.
