My initial review of Apple's new Magic Mouse

I picked up Apple's new Magic Mouse yesterday... Here's my initial review:

Likes
- Virtually the entire surface is your playground (for scrolling, swiping, etc)
- iPhone-like flick scrolling
- simple, solid design
- stable and smooth bluetooth connection
- no moving parts for the scrollwheel or multiple buttons
- looks great on my desk :-)

Dislikes
- pretty low profile design, so I'm not used to that yet

I haven't been able to spend a lot of time on it yet, so maybe I will put up another review in a week or so.

3 Reasons why lunch was good today...

good food + productive conversation + new magic mouse = great lunch!

Had a great meeting with a potential client this morning, then Rick (my partner) and I discussed next steps and business strategy while we ate some Thai (it was tasty today). Then I slipped over to the apple store real quick to pick up a new Magic Mouse... it was a productive lunch today : )

The key to a great looking lawn

I'm a designer. Doesn't matter what kind of project I work on, my goal is to make it look sexy, including my lawn. Below are a few tips (in no particular order) that will help you unlock your lawn's full potential.

1. The first line you cut is crucial. Make it as straight as possible and you can use it as a guide for the rest of the lines.

2. For the best possible lines, avoid overlapping or crossing any of your paths (you'd probably laugh if you saw the lengths I go to to do this).

3. For that nice baseball field look, alternate angles each time you mow (perpendicular, of course).

4. Do all your edging first. It will leave you with the cleanest look.

5. Remember to fertilize.

6. Hold your lines!! Slopes, bumps and other obstacles can make this difficult, but do your very best to hold your line and it'll end up looking nice.
